Teen hurt in DWI accident caused by her mother

HOUSTON, TX – A teen was hurt on Monday morning in a DWI accident caused by her mother, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Update to crash this morning: it is believed that the driver (34) showed signs of drug impairment. She and the teen passenger (believed to be her daughter) are expected to recover from their injuries. Investigation remains on-going. #HouNews https://t.co/zipGPgyknY

The single-vehicle crash concurred at 9300 East Sam Houston Parkway North Feeder Road at around 9:51 a.m. An adult and teen were rushed to the hospital via LifeFlight, but are both expected to survive.
A later tweet from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the driver showed signs of drug impairment. The teenager hurt in the incident is believed to be her daughter.
