HOUSTON, TX – Two teens were sent to the hospital following a shooting and subsequent crash in northwest Houston early Thursday morning.

According to Fox 26 Houston, the 18-year-old driver was shot at about 1 a.m. after pulling out of a gas station within the 6100 block of West Little York Road.

After he was shot in the lower back, the driver veered off the roadway and into a couple of roadside trees. Both teens in the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive.

Police say the vehicle was being followed by a green or tan sedan prior to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
