Suspect dies in police chase crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A suspect died in a police chase crash in southeast Houston on Friday, January 22, KHOU 11 reports.
Police were chasing the driver because he was driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect eventually lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree near 1900 Evergreen Drive. After the crash, the car burst into flames.
Emergency responders were able to get the suspect out of his vehicle but were not able to save him. He was declared dead at the scene. No officers were injured.
