Suspect arrested in fatal wreck on Griggs Road

HOUSTON, TX – Per a press release from the City of Houston, a suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal car accident that took place on Griggs Road on the night of Sunday, January 31.

18-year-old David Espinosa was driving a black Lincoln LS near 6100 Griggs Road when he lost control of his vehicle, crashing into a median and tree. The 17-year-old victim, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, was injured and later died of his injuries at a nearby hospital. Espinosa sustained minor injuries.

Espinosa was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident. He has since been charged with manslaughter.
