HOUSTON, TX – A suspect has been arrested in a fatal collision on Briar Park Drive on Saturday evening, the Houston Police Department reports.
Authorities say 19-year-old Jaime Calderon reportedly fled from police after officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Calderon, the driver of the Honda, ran a red light at Briar Park Drive, turning onto Westheimer Road. He then hit the driver of a yellow Scion that was then hit by a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer.
A passenger in Calderon’s vehicle was killed upon impact while a passenger in the backseat of the car was seriously injured. Calderon has since been charged with murder and aggravated assault.
