Suspect arrested after fatal crash on the Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A suspect was arrested after a fatal crash on the Southwest Freeway that occurred on the night of Saturday, August 15, according to the Houston Police Department.
Authorities say 34-year-old Marcus Guien was driving while intoxicated when he struck the concrete barrier near 1900 Southwest Freeway. The front passenger was thrown from the vehicle. She was killed upon impact.
Neither Guien nor a backseat passenger were hurt. Guien has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
