HOUSTON, TX – A stolen car crashed during a police chase on Tuesday, the Houston Police Department reports.

Officers spotted a stolen red pickup truck near 8600 Cullen Boulevard and attempted to pull it over. The suspect refused to stop and a woman jumped out of the vehicle. She was detained and released with no charges, according to authorities.

The truck then continued on, eventually crashing into a tree further down the road. The truck caught on fire after the crash but authorities were able to rescue the suspect inside. He has since been arrested.
