Spurger – Several Hurt in Car Accident on FM 1013

A major collision involving a tractor-trailer and passenger car resulted sent at least four people to the hospital, Tuesday evening.

At around 9:00 p.m., police responded to Farm to Market Road 1013 near Spurger to attend to four people with injuries. According to reports, a car was traveling along FM 1013 when it crashed into a tractor-trailer. The vehicle ended up underneath the truck which, as per responding authorities, was attempting to drive back into a driveway.

The driver of the passenger car, who was identified as 15-year-old Carly Jacobs, was hospitalized including her three passengers. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.

No charges have been filed as police are still investigating the incident.
