Spring – Car Surfing Accident Leaves Student Injured

A high school student was sent to a hospital after getting hit by a vehicle just outside Hildebrandt Intermediate School.
In the report released by local authorities, A teen was operating a red Mini Cooper in the parking lot, at the 22800 block of Hilderbrandt Road, next to the school with another teen riding on top of the vehicle. Local police said the driver abruptly stepped on the brakes causing the other teen to fall off, hitting his head on the pavement. It was not clear if the victim was then struck by the car.
The victim, identified only as a 17-year-old Klein Oak High School student, sustained serious head injury as a result of the crash. He was airlifted to the nearest hospita for proper medical treatment.
An investigation is underway.
