Southlake – Rear-End Crash on SH 114 Kills Motorcyclist

A rear-end crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle caused the death of one person and injury to another on State Highway 114 in Southlake, Friday night.
At around 10:00 p.m., local police received a call reporting a collision at the 3000 block of SH 114. According to the report, a motorcycle had been traveling along the eastbound lane of the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it struck the rear side of another vehicle. Police have yet to determine is speed played a factor in the accident.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was immediately taken to Baylor Medical Center Grapevine, where he died, police said. He was only identified as a Bedford man.
Southlake police did not confirm if the driver of the car suffered from any injury.
