Smith County – Woman Died in SH 64 Crash Identified

Smith County local officials have identified the victim who died in a fatal car accident on State Highway 64, Sunday morning.
The fatality was identified as 42-year-old Shalonda Denise Rose.
At around 8:00 a.m., Shalonda Rose was driving a vehicle along State Highway 64 near Tyler when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it left the roadway and landed on a ditch. The car continued on and crashed into a guide wire and a tree before coming to a complete rest. Rose was ejected from her vehicle as a result of the crash. She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency crews.
No other casualties were reported.
Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.
