Smith County – Auto Crash on FM 346

A solo car accident on Farm to Market Road 346 caused the death of one person, according to a local news source.

Last April 8th, police were dispatched to Smith County along FM 346 and County Road 1369 after they received a call reporting a vehicle accident. Based on the initial investigation, a car was traveling along the roadway when it suddenly went out of control and left the roadway. The vehicle came to rest after crashing into a tree. As a result, the driver sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

No one else was injured.

Smith County police officials are still determining the cause of the crash. An investigation is underway.
