Single-vehicle crash blocks lane on IH-610 West Loop near The Galleria

HOUSTON, TX — A single-vehicle collision Thursday morning closed a center lane on West Loop South Freeway near The Galleria shopping center in west Houston, according to Houston Transtar.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes at Farm-to-Market Road 1093, or Westheimer Road, near the city’s Uptown neighborhood. It was verified by Houston Transtar at 10:42 a.m.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m., the scene was reported cleared from the roadway.

No details have been shared on the circumstances behind the crash or the parties involved.
