Sherman – Two-Vehicle Accident on US 75 Leaves Officer Injured

A police vehicle got involved in a car crash on US 75 which resulted in injuries, Monday evening.
According to the initial investigation, the crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of North Travis Street, near US Highway 75. An officer with the Sherman Police Department was seen heading north on Highway 75 when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it crashed into another vehicle. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear at this time but it was confirmed that the vehicle’s lights were activated during the time of the collision. The officer, whose name has not yet been released, sustained unknown injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he received medical treatment.
No information about the second vehicle was released at this time. The driver’s identification was withheld as well.
