Sherman – Two Injured after Two-Car Crash on East Shepherd Road

The Sherman Police Department is conducting an investigation about an auto collision on East Shepherd Road, June 18, Tuesday afternoon.

In an unspecified time in the afternoon, local troopers responded to the East Shepherd Road after receiving a call reporting a crash involving a pickup truck. Based on a preliminary investigation report released by Sherman officials, a small pickup truck was seen traveling along the road when a sport utility vehicle, heading north on the service road, struck it. The impact pushed the pickup into a ditch, leaving the driver injured.

Both the driver and another occupant in the truck were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed but it was confirmed that they are expected to recover.

Investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.
