Sherman – Truck Collision on FM 1417

A two-vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 1417 resulted in injuries, according to a local news source last April 6th.

Last Friday morning, police were dispatched to US Highway 82 near FM 1417 after they received a call reporting a crash along the northbound lanes. Initial investigation shows that a truck was heading north on the roadway when it suddenly drifted into the southbound lanes where it collided with a van that was traveling in the opposite directions. The truck came to a complete rest after rolling over.

Two occupants in the van, its driver and another passenger, sustained injuries due to the force of the crash. They were both rushed to a local hospital where they received proper medical treatment. Their condition was not disclosed.

Sherman police have yet to release details about the driver of the truck. It remains unknown why he lost control of the truck.
