Sherman – Rear-End Crash on Highway 56

The Sherman Police Department is conducting an investigating about a vehicle accident on Highway 56 near which injured a woman, November 7th.

According to initial reports, the incident took place on Hwy 56 near Blue Creek Road at around 2:45 p.m. The complete details of the accident remain unclear at this time but police confirmed that an undescribed vehicle struck the rear side of a box truck. An occupant in the car sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. She was transported to the nearest hospital where she was listed in an unknown condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the box was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

No identification was released pending notification of the victims’ next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
