Sherman – Pedestrian Struck by Car While Crossing Texoma Parkway

A fatal auto versus pedestrian collision caused the death of one person on Texoma Parkway, Thursday night.
According to Sherman law enforcement officials, the tragic crash took place on Texoma Parkway in an unspecified time in the evening of May 16th. Police said a man was attempting to cross the street when a passing vehicle struck him. The pedestrian, whose identity has yet to be released, died as a result of the crash.
Meanwhile, the driver of the suspect vehicle is facing intoxication manslaughter charges and is arrested by local officials. She was later identified as Melissa Thompson. Thompson told the police that the victim stepped in front of her vehicle, prompting the crash.
The investigation is still in progress.
