Sherman—Pedestrian Crash on Vietnam Veterans Parkway Kills One

A fatal pedestrian accident caused the death of one person on Vietnam Veterans Parkway in Sherman, Sunday evening.
In an unspecified time last Sunday evening, local emergency crews responded to a collision on Vietnam Veterans Parkway following a report of a man struck by a vehicle. According to initial reports, a silver Nissan sedan was traveling along the road when it struck a man. Police officers have yet to determine whether the man was in the roadway or on the sidewalk.
The force of the impact killed the pedestrian instantly He was later identified as 34-year-old David Mondares.
No mention whether or not the driver stayed at the scene. His identification was not publicly disclosed as of this writing.
Local investigators were called onto the scene to determine liability. Investigation is ongoing.
