Sherman law enforcement officials have released the name of the couple who died in a fatal car crash on Highway 75 near Washinton Street, Saturday morning.

At around 7:00 a.m., police saw a vehicle traveling along Hwy 75 when, for yet unknown reasons, it went out of control and struck a concrete culvert. When local paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man inside the wreckage suffering from significant injuries. An injured female occupant was later found near the vehicle. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene. They were later identified as Evan and Sarah Nuessner.

No one else was injured.

Investigators said the victims were newlyweds. How the crash happened and the reasons that caused it is unclear at this time.
