Sherman County – Shishay Gebre Among Victims of a Car Accident on US 54

Two people were pronounced deceased after colliding with a vehicle on US 54, according to a local news source.
Just after 5:00 a.m., a vehicle was seen traveling along the highway when it collided head-on with another car. Initial investigation shows that the first vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Daniel Rodriguez, was attempting to pass another vehicle when the accident took place.
The driver of the second car, who was identified as 31-year-old Shishay Gebre, and her passenger, identified only as a 13-year-old occupant, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, another occupant, identified as 37-year-old Tsegahai Sbhatu, suffered from fatal injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
