Sherman County – 2 Killed, 1 Injured Following US 54 Collision

The Sherman County Police Department is investigating a vehicle crash that resulted in the death of three people on US 54, Sunday morning.
Just after 5:00 a.m., responding officers were requested on US Highway 54 to assist in a deadly vehicle accident. An undescribed car collided head-on with another vehicle as it was trying to pass a vehicle. The impact of the crash killed both the driver and passenger of the second vehicle. They were only identified as a 31-year-old female driver and a 13-year-old passenger. Another occupant in the said car sustained major injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. He was not identified either.
Police did not provide information about the driver of the first car.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
