Shelby County – Lousiana Man Died in Two-Car Crash SH 7

At least one person was pronounced deceased after a fatal auto crash on State Highway 7 in Shelby County, Sunday morning.

According to the Department of Public Safety, they responded to State Highway 7 after receiving a call reporting a collision between two vehicles. Reports said a Chevrolet van had been traveling along the westbound lane when it drifted into the opposing lanes and collided with an eastbound GMC pickup truck that was towing a travel trailer. The impact of the crash killed the driver of the Chevrolet who was only identified as a man from Keithville Louisiana. The driver of the pickup truck and his passenger did not suffer from any injury.

No other parties were injured.

Area investigators were also requested at the scene to determine why the Chevrolet traveled across the westbound lane and into the eastbound lane.
