Shallowater – Motorcycle Accident on FM 2641 Leaves 1 Injured

The Shallowater Police Department is conducting an investigation about an auto crash on Farm to Market Road 2641, Monday afternoon.

Just after 5:00 p.m., police responded to FM 2641 after they received a call reporting a motorcycle accident. Initial investigation shows that a motorcycle was traveling along the roadway when it ignored a red signal and went out of control a few moments later. The operator of the motorcycle suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and was given medical treatment by emergency crews. It was not confirmed if he was taken to the hospital for further medical care.

No one else was injured.

Area investigators believed that the rider attempted to slow down after noticing the red light but was too late. The crash remains under investigation.
