School bus aide dead, driver and 3 students hurt in FM 1887 bus crash

MONAVILLE, TX – An adult died, and a bus driver and three students were injured after a bus crashed on FM 1887 in Waller County on Friday afternoon, according to KHOU.
The collision occurred at around 12 p.m. on FM 1887 Rd near Holik Road, after a bus driver with Hempstead ISD lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
An adult, who was identified as a school bus aide, was pronounced dead after the crash.
The bus driver was taken to the hospital for the treatment of minor wounds.
A high-school-aged girl was airlifted to the hospital in Houston.
A 6-year-old child and a 9-year-old child were also taken to the hospital, albeit via ground ambulance.
Their conditions were not immediately released.
A fourth student aboard the bus was not hurt in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
