Schertz– Motorcyclist Killed in Interstate 35

Local authorities are investigating a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle on Interstate 35 near Farm to Market 2252 Road last Sunday afternoon.
According to Schertz police, the wreck took place at around 2:06 p.m. A motorcycle was driving erratically along I-35 when it collided with a vehicle for yet unknown reasons. The force of the impact ejected the rider off his bike. He then landed on the median where he was found unconscious by emergency crews. The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Zarchary Hartley, was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Based on a preliminary investigation, Hartley was not wearing a helmet during the time of the crash. An 18-wheeler truck driver who was behind Hartley provided officers with a dash camera footage of the crash, police said.
The crash is under investigation.
