San Antonio – Woman Struck and Killed by Cars on Enrique Barrera Parkway

A woman crossing the street on Enrique Barrera Parkway died after getting hit by two vehicles, Friday night.
According to initial reports, local officers responded to 800 block of Enrique Barrera Parkway in reference to a call reporting an auto versus pedestrian at around 10:45 p.m. Initial investigation shows that a woman was attempting to cross the street when a black pickup truck turning onto Enrique Barrera Parkway from Southwest 38th Street sideswiped her. The pedestrian fell to the ground and was then struck by another vehicle described as a white pickup truck.
The female victim, identified only as a 56-year-old woman, was immediately taken to a hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries during transport.
Both drivers of the vehicles involved stopped to render aid to the victim. They were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
