San Antonio – Rudy Montalbo Jr. Died in Bicycle Accident on Blanco Road

A bicyclist was killed after getting hit by a car on Blanco Road, according to San Antonio law enforcement officials.

The victim was identified as Rudy Montalbo Jr., 40, by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Montalbo was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Blanco Road and Dresden Drive when he was struck by a pickup truck, pinning him against a utility pole. He sustained multiple blunt force injuries and was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

No one else was injured, as per reports.

Initial investigation indicates that Montalbo was attempting to make a left turn towards Dresden when the accident took place. The driver of the vehicle was charged for driving without a valid driver’s license.

An investigation is ongoing.
