San Antonio – Reckless Driver Collided with Another Car on Military Drive

An alleged speeding driver caused a fatal car accident on Military Drive which took the life of one person, early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at around 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Southwest Military Drive and Commercial Avenue. According to initial reports, a pickup truck that was reportedly traveling at unsafe speed ignore a red signal and collided with a compact car. The force of the impact pushed the car about a quarter mile from the intersection.
Four occupants in the compact car had to be extricated from the wreckage using the JAWS of life. Emergency crews transported three of the victims to a nearby hospital where they were listed in serious injuries. The other occupant was pronounced dead by a medical examiner who responded to the scene.
The suspect drivers attempted to escaped arrest but were later arrested by local police officers. No identification has been released at this time.
