San Antonio— Rear-End Crash on Northwest Loop 410 Injured One Person

At least one person was sent to a hospital after getting involved in a car accident on Northwest Loop 410, early Sunday.
Just after 3:00 a.m., San Antonio officers responded to a vehicle collision near Loop 410 and Ingram Road. According to initial reports, a police vehicle was rear-ended by another car which injured an officer inside. The officer was reportedly responding to a traffic incident when the collision took place.
Local emergency crews transported the officer to University Hospital with minor injuries. His identification was not immediately released by authorities.
The driver of the vehicle was detained by police. No one else was injured.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the accident. Anyone who has information relevant to the case is encouraged to get in touch with them.
