San Antonio – Pedestrian vs Train Crash Leaves 1 Dead

The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an investigation about an early Sunday morning collision involving a train which took place on West Poplar Street.

According to initial reports, the wreck occurred in the 1300 block of West Poplar Street. Police said that a male pedestrian was walking along the tracks when a passing train struck him. The victim, identified only as a man in his 50s, suffered from life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

Details surrounding the collision are very limited at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
