San Antonio—Pedestrian Hit by NEISD School Bus on Walzem Road

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a pedestrian collision on Walzem Road, early Tuesday morning.
Just before 6:30 a.m., emergency crews were alerted of a wreck which took place at the 5400 block of Walzem Road on the city’s Northeast Side. According to initial reports, a pedestrian was crossing the street on a designated crosswalk when he was clipped by a North East Independent School District bus. The impact of the crash left the victim with minor injuries. Whether he was treated on scene or rushed to a hospital is yet to be confirmed by responding officers.
Local officials said that there were students onboard the bus during the time of the incident. Fortunately, none of them sustained injuries.
No identification has been released as of this writing.
The crash remains under investigation.
