San Antonio – Pedestrian Crash on Weidner Rd

A woman was pronounced deceased following a crash on Weidner Road in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

At around 3:00 a.m., police received a call reporting a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Initial investigation indicates that a woman was attempting to cross the access road near Interstate 35. A few moments later, a passing vehicle struck her. The force of the impact left the pedestrian with serious injuries. She was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Her identity has yet to be released.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was no longer on scene when authorities arrived. The description of the vehicle and its whereabouts have yet to be determined.

The crash remains under investigation.
