San Antonio – Pedestrian Accident on Pinn Road

A woman died after getting struck by a vehicle on Pinn Road, Wednesday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
According to initial reports, the fatal collision took place at around 7:00 a.m. in the 1700 block of Pinn Road. A female pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a passing vehicle. She was rushed to University Hospital where she was proclaimed deceased a few hours after.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and call police for assistance. It was not confirmed if he sustained any injury from the incident.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was crossing the street in a dark and unlit area which may have contributed to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
