San Antonio – Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Hot Wells Boulevard

One person was killed following an auto collision involving a driver that fled the scene of the crash on Hot Wells Boulevard, early Saturday morning.
At around 4:40 a.m., an off-duty police officer was attempting to break two groups brawling at the IHOP on Hot Wells when he was struck by a vehicle occupied by two men. The officer was pinned under the car which took off following the crash. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the officer suffering from major injuries. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
The suspects who struck the victim remain unidentified at this point. San Antonio police are working to locate the vehicle involved as well as the occupants who fled the scene.
