San Antonio— Head-on Collision on Highway 181 Injured 1

The San Antonio Police Department has yet to release the complete details of the car accident happened on Highway 181 the Far Southeast Side.
According to initial reports, the collision took place at around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 181 South and Loop 1604 South. How the crash occurred remains unclear but it was confirmed that at least two cars were involved. When local responders arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle T-boned by another vehicle. Based on their preliminary investigation, the vehicle was making a left turn towards Loop 1064 when it was struck by the second car which allegedly ran a red light.
The impact of the collision injured at least one person. Emergency crews airlifted the victim to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not immediately available.
No other injuries were reported.
Investigation is ongoing.
