San Antonio – Head-on Collision on Green Mountain Rd

A speeding vehicle crashed on Green Mountain Road which caused the death of one person and injuries to another, according to a release by San Antonio Police Department.

At around 7:30 p.m., a southbound SUV was seen traveling at an unsafe speed when it went out of control and ended up in the railroad tracks. It continued on and crashed into a four-door sedan that was heading north. The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan was hospitalized due to the injuries sustained from the impact. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

Authorities withheld the victims’ identification pending notification of their next of kin. An investigation is underway.
