San Antonio – Dana Hernandez Struck and Injured by a Vehicle on Bandera Road

52-year-old Dana Hernandez is currently unresponsive at the hospital following a fatal collision with a hit-and-run driver on Bandera Road, Saturday night.
According to initial reports, Hernandez was crossing the street on the 900 block of Bandera Road when a Jeep struck her. The force of the impact left Hernandez with serious injuries including a broken pelvis and head injury. She was immediately taken to a local hospital for further medical care.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Damaris Acosta, fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Her vehicle was later located at the 100 block of Clearview Drive, thanks to a witness who got the license plate of the vehicle. She is arrested and charged for failure to stop and render aid and fleeing the scene of an accident.
San Antonio Police Department is investigating.
