San Antonio – Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Car on Ranch View

San Antonio law enforcement officials are investigating a bicycle accident on Ranch View in West Bexar County, last Thursday.
According to police reports, the incident took place near Remrock Valley at around 7:30 a.m. A 10-year-old bicyclist was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk when he was struck by a passing SUV. The impact seriously injured the rider and was later pronounced deceased at University Hospital. Her identification was not immediately released.
Initial investigation indicates that the victim lost control of her bicycle and ended up in the traffic.
Whether or not the driver of the SUV remained at the scene remains unconfirmed at this time. Area investigators are still looking into the case.
