San Antonio – Auto vs Bicycle Accident on Ira Lee Road

The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an investigation about a bicycle collision on Ira Lee Road, last Thursday.
At around 10:00 p.m., San Antonio local troopers responded to Austin Highway near Ira Lee Road to assist in a bicycle crash involving another car. According to the initial investigation, the bicyclist was traveling down the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, he was hit by a passing vehicle. A person who saw the victim suffering from injuries called 911 to request for medical assistance.
The bicyclist, whose identity has not been released, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. His location and identification remain unknown at this time.
