San Antonio – 62-year-old Motorcyclist Died Following a Collision on Culebra Rd

The San Antonio Police Department is conducting an investigation about a motorcycle vs car crash on Culebra Road which killed one person, early Sunday morning.

At around 9:00 a.m., a motorcycle was traveling along the westbound lane of Culebra Rd near Rim Rock Trail when a Ford Focus drove into its path, resulting in a crash. Authorities said the rider of the motorcycle attempted to avoid the Ford but to no avail. He was pronounced deceased at the scene after the crash. His identification has not yet been released at this time.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the Ford Focus was attempting to make a left turn towards Culebra when the incident took place. The 77-year-old driver told police she did not see the motorcycle.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the case.
