At least two people were injured following a car accident involving multiple vehicles on Sherwood Way near Southland Boulevard, police say.
According to reports, the wreck occurred minutes after 8:00 a.m. A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with a 2016 trailer was traveling on the northbound lanes of Southland when it was struck by another Silverado. The impact sent the first vehicle spinning and onto the path of a 1998 Honda Civic and another 2003 Silverado.
The crash left two people with injuries. They were immediately transported to a hospital for treatment. No identification was released.
The driver of the rear-ending vehicle was arrested on possession of marijuana. He was also asked to undergo a sobriety test.
Local investigators were requested at the scene to determine the cause of the crash.
Our deepest sympathies to the victim of this unfortunate event. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the San Angelo Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
A car accident is an overwhelming experience. If you are a passenger in a car involved in an accident, the first thing you should do is seek medical attention for yourself and anyone who needs it. After this, you’ll be asked to provide your contact information in case local authorities need your testimony. Generally, a passenger may have no liability—so the legal process is not necessarily stressful, as long as you follow the legal process.
