San Angelo – Two-Car Crash on US 87 Leaves 1 Hospitalized

One person was sent to a hospital following a vehicle collision on US 87 near Susan Peak Road in San Angelo, Saturday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a red passenger vehicle was traveling along the westbound lane of US 87 when it failed to yield to a stop sign near the Loop 306 interchange and collided with a pickup truck. Police said the truck had been heading south in the interchange when the accident occurred. The impact of the collision injured the driver of the red car. He was immediately transported to Shannon Medical Center where he received treatment. His condition was not disclosed.
Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
DPS issued that driver a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign.
An investigation is still in progress.
