San Angelo — Two-Car Collision on South Chadbourne Street

Last Wednesday, a vehicle crash involving a distracted driver on South Chadbourne Street sent one person to a hospital, according to a local news source.
San Angelo emergency crews responded to the 300 block of South Chadbourne Street after receiving an alert reporting a collision. A responding officer said that a silver Dodge Durango was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a maroon GMC Sierra pickup truck. Based on a preliminary investigation, the driver of the Dodge Durango become distracted behind the wheel and failed to negotiate its speed, crashing into a pickup truck.
The driver of the Sierra sustained unknown injuries from the force of the impact. He was rushed to Shannon Medical Center for further care. The driver of the Durango and his passenger were not hurt.
An investigation is ongoing.
