San Angelo- One injured following a crash on Koenigheim Street

The San Angelo Police Department is investigating a car accident that injured at least one person on Koenigheim near Ave. D.

Initial reports show that a white van was traveling on the northbound lane of Koenigheim Street when it collided with a silver Chevy Malibu at the intersection. According to authorities, the Malibu ran a red light and entered the intersection where it crashed into the van.

The driver of the Malibu, whose identification is yet to be released, suffered from injuries as a result of the collision. He declined to be taken to a hospital.

It remains unknown if the van driver sustained injuries.

Authorities were requested at the scene to investigate the crash. They cited the driver of Chevy Malibu for failure to yield the right of way.
