San Angelo – Man Died in Car Crash on Ben Ficklin Rd

A pickup truck collision on Texas 306 Loop caused the death of one person, Sunday morning.

Just before 8:00 a.m., San Angelo local officials were dispatched to Loop 306 near Ben Ficklin Road in response to a call reporting a vehicle accident. According to the report, a pickup truck was traveling along the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it left the roadway and crashed into a median. The truck then struck a utility pole before coming to rest on an embankment. The driver of the pickup truck, who was only identified as 38-year-old man, sustained injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Local investigators were also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing. They have yet to determine the cause of the collision.
