The San Angelo Police Department is investigating a car accident on Freeland Street, last April 3.
In an unspecified time in the morning, local officers received a 911 call reporting a vehicle collision at the intersection of Freeland Street and Howard Street. According to initial reports, a Chevrolet Taho was heading east on Freeland when, for reasons that had not been determined, it crashed into a blue Buick that had entered the intersection.
The impact of the collision injured the driver of the Chevy Tahoe. It was not confirmed if he was treated at the scene or taken to a hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the Buick did not sustain injuries.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the driver of the Buick did not have the go signal when he entered the intersection.
An investigation is underway.
Our deepest sympathies to the victim of this unfortunate event. We strongly believe that the San Angelo Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
Injuries caused by vehicle collisions can vary from crash to crash. Some injuries may heal within a span of days while others could paralyze a victim’s body for a month. The most commonly known car accident injuries include neck and chest and head and back injuries. Broken and ligament damages are also quite common.
Being a victim of a collision is an overwhelming experience. If you are a passenger in a car involved in crash, the first thing you should do is seek medical attention for yourself and anyone who needs it. After this, you’ll want to alert your insurance provider regarding damages or injuries you sustained from the collision. To submit a claim, you would need to gather documents supporting your claim. These may include a video of the scene or a photograph of the damages to the vehicles, police reports stating the facts of the accident, and medical records indicating the severity of your injury, to name a few.
