San Angelo— Driver Injured Following Crash on East 19th Street

A school bus driver was injured after getting involved in a car accident on East 19th Street, Wednesday.
According to initial reports, the San Angelo Police Department responded to the intersection of East 19th Street and Volney after receiving a call reporting a collision. A Sang Angelo ISD school bus was waiting for a go signal at the cross street when it was struck by a Jeep Cherokee SUV from behind. The impact of the collision left at least two people with serious injuries. They were later transported to a local hospital for further care.
Responding officers did not specify if occupants in the school bus were hurt.
Further details surrounding the incident is yet to be released. The authorities are investigating the crash.
