Runaway boat on Clear Lake lands in family’s front yard

HOUSTON, TX – KTRK reports that an investigation is underway after a runaway boat crashed onto the front lawn 102 Twin Oaks Way.
The homeowner said the vehicle had been running unintended for about twenty minutes before it hit her pier at around 6 p.m. Sunday and catapulted into her yard. She described the noise as like that of a bomb going off.
“I’ve never seen a boat go airborne like that,” she told reporters.
According to police, no one was injured in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
