Round Rock – Child Struck by Car on Harrell Parkway

A fatal pedestrian collision caused the death of a young child on Harrell Parkway, Monday afternoon.
Just before 1:30 p.m., police officers received a call reporting an auto vs pedestrian accident at the 2068 block of Harrell Parkway. When they arrived at the scene, they found a three-year-old child lying on the ground motionless. An off-duty firefighter aided to the child until first responders arrival. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased shortly after the collision. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
Authorities did not release information about the driver who hit the victim. Round Rock Police said on Monday that this incident appears to be an accident and the driver will not face any charges.
